The Wall That Heals is Coming to Athens, Hosted by Athens State University

Athens State University is proud to announce that it will host The Wall That Heals, a traveling three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, along with a mobile education center. This profound exhibit will be displayed on campus from [Start Date] to [End Date], offering the Athens community an opportunity to reflect, learn, and honor those who served.
A Moving Tribute to Vietnam Veterans
The Wall That Heals spans 375 feet in length and is designed to replicate the powerful experience of visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Etched into its black panels are the names of more than 58,000 men and women who gave their lives or remain missing in action during the Vietnam War.
Athens State University is honored to provide a space for this exhibit, creating a place of remembrance and healing for veterans, their families, and the wider community.
An Educational Experience for All
In addition to the replica wall, the exhibit includes a mobile education center that highlights personal stories, historical information, and artifacts from the Vietnam War era. Visitors can explore:
A deeper understanding of the Vietnam War’s impact on American history and culture
Photos and personal mementos left at the original memorial
Hometown hero stories from across the country
